December went by in a blur of slow days at work, fun outings with friends, a flurry of Christmas decorating and a wonderful set of festivities to celebrate the holiday season. December is one of my favorite months of the year, just because I always feel extra happy and hopeful. And yes, okay, I love Christmas. I love the decorations. I love the food. I love buying gifts. I love wrapping gifts. I love getting gifts. I love all the traditions. I love the parties. I love the spirit of the season, and it's a lifelong love affair that probably won't ever be extinguished. I hope you guys had a December as lovely as I did, and that January is an exciting start to your new year!
WHAT I DID
We didn't go out to celebrate, but Macky & I officially celebrated ten years of being in a relationship on the 1st! I got the opportunity to see my friends Cassie & Betty; we got lunch and visited a bargain bookstore. This was also the month that I finally got my new shelves from IKEA (though I miscalculated and actually need one more!), and spent an entire evening rearranging everything to make rainbow shelves with help from my best friend Pat. I also got to catch The Book of Mormon, visit the Star Wars exhibition, see The Nutcracker and watch Star Wars Episode VII. There was also Ephy's Carolina Panthers birthday party, an ice skating session at Wollman Rink, and our dress-up Christmas party at Pat & Ian's. (It was seriously a busy month.)
