TGIF (16): Recommend It!

TGIF at GReads is a feature by the fabulous Ginger, who asks us a fun question to answer every week. It's always a joy to be a part of this, and I think everyone certainly should try it out!

Which book from the last ten you've read would you recommend to a friend?
This is honestly a very difficult question to answer as the last ten books that I read were all pretty darn awesome, and also because it would depend on the friend we're talking about.

It would probably have to be TOUCH OF POWER by MARIA V. SNYDER, because I think this novel (the first of a series) is fantastic. I can't believe I only really discovered her writing now and I can't wait to read more from this author.

Check out my review!

  6. Returning the visist! Maria Snyder's a very good author--I like her SF. I just wanted to say thank for the SOPA discussion at the top of your blog--we all want to stop book piracy (it's so bad for our favorite authors), but not everyone knows about the weirdness that this bill could create for ordinary people on the internet.

I love the book trailer for this one! It is just awesome, and I have heard nothing but good things about it! I really need to pick this one up! I hope you enjoy The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie Ryan, because it really is my favorite out of the Forest of Hands and Teeth series. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. I wasn't going to buy Touch of Power but if you really think of that as being the best of your last 10, then I might have to give it more of an oppurtunity. Everyone seems to like it, but saying it's the best of a selection is whole different kind of good!

  12. I LOVED Touch of Power. I just finished the Insider series by Snyder...so good, and so different from her other series, but kinda the same, too. Now I just have to read the Glass series. I don't think she can write anything I won't love. :)
