Table for Two #9: CajunSea

I'm really excited that Rachel of Hello, Chelly and I have teamed up once more to bring you a brand spanking new collaboration that involves two of my favorite things - New York City and food. We're proud to introduce Table for Two, where the two of us will be highlighting restaurants and dessert spots in New York City. You'll be hearing our personal opinions on the place and the food, as well as where you can go to try it out for yourself! This month, I'll be talking about CajunSea while Rachel tells you about Spot Dessert Bar

If you're a fan of seafood and looking for a new spot to try, CajunSea is an easily accessible, delicious new option that Rachel & I went to on a whim recently. It's a nice place to relax after a long day at work, and surprisingly roomy (as there is space at the back) too. Even though the lighting is a little dark and the music can get a little loud, it's definitely a fun place to go for dinner.

Rachel & I basically ended up splitting the signature CajunSea fries with truffle aioli and a dozen oysters, and then each picked up a lychee martini and lobster mac and cheese. The lychee martini was delicious, if a little bit strong, and perfect for taking the edge off. But we were both pretty big fans of the food! The lobster mac and cheese was perfectly portioned and tasty; the oysters were so fresh; the fries were the perfect level of crispy. All in all, it was definitely a very favorable dining experience and I'd happily return and take other people with me!

CajunSea is on 32 W 33rd St., between Broadway & 5th Ave. It's open seven days a week from 11:30am to 12:00am. Let us know if you decide to check it out!
