{Bookish} Style Files: Pretty in Pink

I'm really excited to put a new spin on {Bookish} Style Files! Even though I've never had any interest in creating an actual style blog chronicling my outfits, I do love the challenge of putting together a look that fits my personal aesthetic perfectly. So, I've decided to start pairing my outfits with book covers as a variation of this feature!

The Outfit:

I bought this skirt years ago, mostly because the color and fabric made me feel like a ballerina-slash-princess. It's one of my favorite pieces to bring out during warmer weather! The top and skirt were both old pieces from Forever 21, the sandals are from Walmart, the sunglasses are from PacSun and the purse is from Kate Spade.

The Books:

1. Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson | Morgan Matson really captures the essence of family, friendship and romance. I cried my eyes out reading this, and wanted to immediately hug all of the family and friends that I share so much of my personal history with.

2. Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour | Of the books I've chosen to feature, this is the only one I haven't read. But each time I see the cover, I'm reminded of how curious I am about the story! It's set in Los Angeles, specifically in Hollywood, and it has a f/f romance that sounds exquisite.

3. To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han | I absolutely adore Lara Jean, and the fact that she's Asian-American. The family dynamics, the exploration of friendships and first loves - Jenny Han absolutely nails it with this charming novel. The sequel is awesome too!
