Book Blogger Love-a-Thon 2015 || Fancy a Bit of Poetry?

If you're still interested in participating in the Love-a-Thon, you still can! Just visit this post and fill out the form. Then tweet me @alexalovesbooks, or shoot an email to bbloveathon@gmail.com, so I can add you to the official participant list.
This challenge has been our most popular one for years running - book spine poetry! Let's get our imaginations whirring, and the creative juices flowing through our veins. All you need to do is create a poem using only the spines of your books. It's not easy, but I'm sure we'll all rise up to the challenge! (For a few ideas, check out my 2013 poems, and my 2014 poems!)

daughter of the forest,
exquisite captive,
deception's princess
- still star-crossed.
heir of fire -
in darkness, like no other.
blue-eyed devil -
something real, even in paradise.
Now, in keeping with tradition, there's a giveaway that goes along with this mini-challenge! All you have to do is link up to your post in the Linky below. I'll be picking two random winners - one US and one international - to receive a prize pack. For details of each prize pack, see below:

  9. Unfortunately this is my first time hearing about Love-a-Thon! It's so awesome to find a list of book bloggers. I'm always up for discovering new ones! :)

  10. The Love-A-Thon has been a lot of fun so far! I haven't had time to check out everyone's blogs, because there are too many amazing ones. But I'm doing the best I can to comment on new-to-me blogs and blogs with fewer commenters! That's my LoveAThonRAK, I guess. This questionnaire was great by the way, the questions really help see more of the bloggers and get tons of recommendations (gotta go add these books there to my list).
Thanks again for hosting this event, Alexa!

  11. Same for me! I didn’t have my bookish friends in my life, so I started blogging. :)

I love all the books on your list. Or at least, I think I’d love them. Lol. I have them on my list as well.

Oh. You can scrapbook? I’ve always wanted to do that, but somehow I’ve never really been able to make a go of that. So that’s awesome.

I used to scrapbook and loved it but haven't had any time in recent years! I'd love to get back to it though! Uptown funk! <3 love it!

OMG, the Hundred Oaks books would make such a great ABC Famil yshow! Ahh, and Daughter of the Forest as a mini-series or something!

  19. I love shopping for stationery and crafting goodies as well! :D I love making cards. I'd probably really enjoy scrapbooking as well. Maybe I should take that up!

I love watching musicals and plays too. Sadly musicals are so expensive to go see so I can't do it a lot! What's your favourite musical? :D

I love travelling too! I wish I could do that for a living, but that is a tough one. I hope yo take a year off, hopefully sooner rather than later to travel the world. I recently discovered uptown funk and had it stuck in my head the whole weekend! Lol! I love the rythm, though! And I also love musicals and theatre! You are so lucky, living in NYC gives you a lot of access to Broadway! That is so cool!

  36. You might not call your blog the most creative name, but it does it's job and I like the simplicity :D Truthwitch and Queen of shadows - ohhh man, I'm so impatient for QOS. I need more Chaol and Celaena in my life. And more Rowan sass. And more Manon kick-ass. And more awesome characters she's going to create.
