Book Blogger Love-a-Thon || Mini-Challenge: Book Valentines

If you haven't signed up yet, YOU STILL CAN! Just visit this post and fill out the form. After, contact us via Twitter or email so that we can add you to our official participant list. You can also check out the full schedule for the 2014 Book Blogger Love-a-thon here!

For this challenge, we asked everyone to write a love letter to their book boyfriend(s)/girlfriend(s)! I totally cheated and picked TWELVE book boyfriends in total, just because I could. Instead of writing them each a love letter, I picked out song lyrics that summarized my feels for them as accurately as possible.

Dark Triumph || Fearless

Crown of Midnight || Kiss Me

A Darkness Strange and Lovely || Science and Faith

Spark || No More Heroes

Blue-Eyed Devil || Just a Kiss

The Crown of Embers || Say It Again

My Life Next Door || Our Song

Dare You To || Little Things

Incarnate || Music of My Heart

The Bone Season || Safe and Sound

Scarlet || More Than Anyone

Dark Lover || I'm Yours

Hope you guys enjoyed seeing my 2014 edition of Bookish Valentines! Let me know what you think of my choices (boys AND songs) in the comments, and perhaps share some pairings of your own. Don't forget to link your posts to be entered in the mini-challenge giveaway!

  3. Sam's...that just reminded me of how I first discovered your blog and the Incarnate Readathon! Not very long ago at all, but it was just a lovely reminder of Sam and how adorable he is! A perfect match as well. And Wolf's was wonderful, too! I just read Cress (finished it yesterday) and I adored it- Wolf is a really great character, and you gave him a wonderful Valentine! I love this challenge, it was so much fun to do and even more fun to see everyone else's!

  4. Using songs lyrics was such a good idea!

    I was curious who this "Beast" was so I clicked on the link for Dark Triumph and now I totally want to read it! Question though--should I read Grave Mercy first, or is Dark Triumph more of a companion novel than a sequel?

  8. Aww this is so cute! I haven't read any of these books (I NEED TO GET READING) but I still loved reading these. As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I'm super happy you used a lot of her lyrics. They're just perfect for valentines and declarations of love, aren't they? :)

  11. Hahaha I love that you picked 12 book boyfriends. I almost cheated, but then I was all....Chaol is definitely #1 hands down. With Warner from Shatter Me a close second. Love the song lyrics idea! I haven't even met Jase yet, but I already feel like that song is perfect. From what I hear he's the boy next door and that song just makes me think of that small town, wholesome family you know?

  15. I was actually considering writing more than one letter, hahaha. But then my letter to Sturmhond happened, and you know. ;) I love that you used song lyrics, and I really want to sing those lyrics to Chaol. Also, the lyrics you used for Jase are SO perfect! He is definitely an Our Song guy. And YES to what you said to Hector. That is what I'm loving most about this romance. Actually, I'm having so many feels right now - I'm going to text you!
