Throne of Glass: A Celebration (+ Giveaway!)

Today is a very special day on the blog! My friend Elena of Novel Sounds (which is awesome and amazing and you need to go check it out if you haven’t yet) and I are hosting an unofficial pre-celebration for the release day of Sarah J. Maas’ incredible debut novel, Throne of Glass.

The book is officially out in stores tomorrow, August 7. If you want to know what I thought of the book and WHY I think you should pick up a copy, feel free to check out my review, Elena & Kendra’sreview and our friend Magan’s review. And if you feel lucky and want a chance to win a signed copy of the book, check out this post and then enter the giveaway at the end of it!

If you've already read Throne of Glass and loved it, feel free to add any (or all) of these awesome buttons Elena made to your sidebar.

As this is a celebration, Elena and I wanted to do fun posts related to Throne of Glass on our blogs. Today, you’re going to see an ode that I’ve written to the book (and yes, I loved it enough to write an ode to it) and a feast that I think should be prepared for those of us who are reading it.

And now, for my ode:
A truth: there is nothing I adore more
Than a fantastic fantasy story
Filled with magic, mayhem, romance and lore.
Read Throne of Glass and you won't be sorry!
Celaena, the assassin, is kick-ass,
Feminine, athletic and very smart,
Though she gets into trouble quite a lot.
Her story, filled with adventure and sass,
also had romance that tugged at the heart.
Don't wait anymore - this book must be bought!
Whew! That required more work than I thought, but I hope you liked it as much as I enjoyed making it! Throne of Glass certainly found a place in my heart, and I hope it does in yours too.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for - the giveaway! You can enter to win a copy of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Since there are plenty of options to enter with, your chances are good.

(Some important facts before you enter: giveaway is US only and open to those 13 and above.)

  14. Mmm, all the books in the Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner. I'm awful at odes, but I did write her a love letter on my blog. I swear it's not as creepy as it sounds.
