Top Ten Tuesday: Santa, I've Been Good!

As always, this feature is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Obviously, I love receiving books as gifts! Here are ten titles that I wouldn't mind seeing under my Christmas tree this year.

1. The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
I am dying to read these books. I've never been a huge fan of the fae, but lots of my favorite bloggers really love this series, so I'm really looking forward to giving it a try!

2. The Travel Book/The Europe Book from Lonely Planet
I love traveling. I was bitten by the wanderlust bug at a young age, and it is my dream to visit so many different countries someday.

3. Tiger's Quest & Tiger's Voyage by Colleen Houck
I read the first book in this series last year and really enjoyed it. If Santa would send me the next two books, I'd be really pleased. I want to know what happens next!

4. Pretty Little Liars (Wicked, Killer, Heartless, Wanted, Twisted) by Sara Shepard
I read the first four books of the series in 2010 and I'm also a fan of the show. I want to complete the set and find out more about A and the girls!

5. Crossed by Ally Condie
When I first drafted this post, I had Matched up there too. But my awesome Broke & Bookish Secret Santa Joli of Actin' Up With Books got me that so I can officially cross it off my wishlist and start reading.  I want Crossed because I have a feeling I will be dying to know what happens next.

6. Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
I'm dying to read this series, because I've been hearing that it's really good.  Plus, it's about witches (and a few other supernatural creatures thrown into the mix).

7. Harry Potter series, UK version by J.K. Rowling
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. And it is my dream one day to own the UK version of the series.
8. Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Since we're talking Santa here, I do believe he could somehow find a way to give me Insurgent.  Divergent is definitely one of my favorite reads from this year and I'm eager to know what happens next for Tris and Four.

9. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
I love The Heroes of Olympus series; it's Riordan's best series for me, at the moment.  I would love to have the next book (which isn't even written yet) in my hands.

10. All of the leatherbound classics from Barnes & Noble
Now this is definitely high on the dreams come true list - if I got them. They're all just so pretty.

20 Comments:

  1. Did you know that Colleen Houck's first Tiger book used to be .50 on Kindle? I didn't have Kindle back then, so I didn't get it. THEN I wanted her books, and they were no longer in print, because she was self-published at the time, and not making any more. I wrote to her in a panic, asking if she had more copies. She wrote and said yes, and charged me $25 a book!! I had no idea a publisher had bought them up, and I could have bought them for $9 a few months later. I was so mad that she didn't tell me, that I have yet to read them. lol. I guess I should just put that behind me. I do have the very valuable 1st editions now... Haha. But since they are personalized and autographed, I'd never be able to sell them for much. OH well!

Crossed is on my list too! Matched is a cliffhanger, and I know you'll be happy to have Crossed ready and on hand as soon as you finish Matched. :) I also feel like I need to read Iron King... because of bloggers I know. Haha. Great list!

  3. YES the leatherbound books from Barnes and Noble! That was the main reason I was so excited to do this TTT and then I forgot to put it on it!

  4. '7' is definitely one to hope for, I love Harry Potter and, being from the UK, I have the UK copies! Don't hate on me.

'8' Would you share? Send me that and I'll buy Harry Potter for you.

And I'm so happy for you that 5. got to be changed. Yay for bookish gifts!

  10. Oooh, your list is AWESOME! I think it's so funny that we both asked for UK versions of books we already own. Great minds, and all. Seriously though these are such great books. You can add me to the list of bloggers who love the Iron Fey series. They are, hands down (imo), the best fairy books out there and I recommend them to non-fae lovers all the time. I hope you like them!

Hex Hall is a really great series, too. I just caught up on them myself a couple of months ago and LET ME TELL YOU, the cliffhanger in the second book? BANANAS. You'll pull your hair out. YAY!

And thanks for mentioning the Tiger books; I've been meaning to check them out for a while. More books to add to the list!

I hope you get all of these books and more under the tree! :-)

  15. LUCKY! Yes, send me the HP UK books and I'll definitely send you Insurgent if I'm so lucky as to have it in my hands early, haha.

  16. Definitely! If I get lucky and get to read it early, I'll definitely share it with you ;)

  18. Wow, that's one heck of a story about the Tiger series! I do hope you get to read them though - I thought they were quite good. And at least you have first editions!

I'm in the middle of reading Matched right now and I'm already antsy about how things will play out. I definitely need to get my hands on Crossed soon!

  19. If I ever got one of those editions, I don't know if I'd dare to actually read it. I'd want it to look pretty forever!

  20. I got the Barnes & Noble edition of King Arthur and it's so beautiful. Embossed cover, leather bound, gold-edged pages... I'm sure it's nice on the inside too, but I haven't dared take the plastic wrapping off yet!
