Top Ten Tuesday: Books for All

As always, this feature is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

If I could give you all, my dear followers, a book or two this holiday season, these are most likely to be the ones I choose from. I've also included recipients because why the hell not!
1. Every single one of Tamora Pierce's novels (to Macky)
My boyfriend Macky was the person who introduced me to the amazing Tamora Pierce. He's a big fan of hers, and while he does have most of them, I'd like to give him brand new, complete sets of all the novels, because he loves them that much.

2. Divergent by Veronica Roth (to Carmela)
I'm not sure if she's read it yet, but if she hasn't, I know my cousin Carmela will absolutely adore this book.  In my family, she's the only person I know who is as much of a bookworm as I am.

3. Love by Numbers series by Sarah MacLean (to Melissa)
My sister Melissa is my fellow romance junkie. She and I both love historical romances and there is no doubt in my mind that she will absolutely adore this series as much as I do.

4. Every single book in The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot (to Rachel)
My sister Rachel loved the Princess Diaries series, but she doesn't have her own copy of the entire collection. I'd love to give the entire set to her.

5. Every single book in the Harry Potter series, UK version, by J.K. Rowling (to Pat)
My friend Pat is one of my fellow Potterheads.  I would love to give her the entire UK version of the series, just so we could get all excited over it together!

6. Wanderlove by Kristen Hubbard & Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (to Pam)
My best friend Pam and I adore traveling. I would love to get her these books that talk about travel and growing up, because they're really good! I'm sure she'd love them.

7. Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins (to Jaymee)
My best friend Jaymee doesn't read all the time. It takes a very special book to capture her attention.  The first novel by Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss, is a book she recommended to me, which means she really loved it. I want to get her the next novel, which is amazing!
8. The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (to Chynna)
My niece and goddaughter Chynna has taken after her godmother - she loves to read! I want to get her the beautifully crafted Chronicles of Narnia series, specifically the lovely leatherbound edition by Barnes & Noble. I enjoyed those stories as a child and I'm sure she'll like them too!

9. The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan (to Andre)
My brother (well, brother in heart anyway) Andre loves Riordan's books. I'd love to get him his own copy of the Heroes of Olympus because that's my favorite Riordan series so far!
10. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin (to Mom)
My mom is currently going through a difficult period in her life. I'd love to get her this book, to offer some solace and some great tips for how to embrace happiness.

There are so many people I'd love to get books for, including my great book blogger friends.
What about you - what book would you want to give as a gift and why?

  7. What are your favorite Tamora Pierce books? I read the Alanna series when I was in high school and bought them again recently so I could re-read them. I haven't read any others though, so suggestions for your faves would be awesome! :)

  15. Yes, read Percy Jackson first, then the Kane Chronicles, then The Heroes of Olympus! My personal favorite is The Heroes of Olympus (The Lost Hero/Son of Neptune).

  16. If all the books are available, I do try to get the whole series. I always get antsy if I have one book in a series, finish it and realize I don't have the next one to dive into straightaway!
