TGIF (11): Comment Craze

TGIF at GReads is a feature by the fabulous Ginger, who asks us a fun question to answer every week. It's always a joy to be a part of this, and I think everyone certainly should try it out!

What post has gotten the most comments/activity on your blog this year?

Since I'm a relatively new blogger, I'm not very surprised that the post with the most comments and page views is the Small Blogs, Big Giveaway, 4th edition. It is one heck of an amazing giveaway and I'm grateful to Nat of Reading Romances for allowing me to participate!

Another post that got a lot of activity and discussion was my post about my experience during the Dewey 24 Hour Readathon. I was fortunate to be able to participate in the event, read a few books and get to know a few more bloggers.

  1. Yeah, those types of posts are the main bringers of comments and traffic. I think it's common for a lot of us, I mean giveaway hops tend to have this awesome air about them and attract a lot of visits, often new visits. A really cool thing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  2. I found that. I think as small book bloggers, we tend to get most of our traffic (if any!) from hops. I guess it's a gradual thing, so definitely shouldn't let it bother you!

  3. Yes, the giveaways are the most popular, but at least in my case, I think I promote them a bit more, but putting reminders in other posts, and tweeting about them more than "regular" posts...

    Happy reading!

  4. Giveaways always get the most action! We should have exempted them from our list, lol. Though it is interesting to see all the different types of Giveaways every one does...Also, the inter-blogger activity - like your dewey read - Makes me excited for more features in the new year!
