In My Mailbox (3)

host: The Story Siren
I am so blessed to be posting another IMM this week, since I have yet to ever post an IMM regularly.  I got a great amount of treats in my mailbox this week, thanks to generosity of my boyfriend, my book blogger buddies and a publisher!

By Fire, By Water by Mitchell James Kaplan

The author of this particular novel emailed me a while back with a review request. The premise of the novel intrigued me and I accepted the request.  His publisher, Other Press, was kind enough to send me a copy. I'm definitely reading this one soon!

Saving June by Hannah Harrington
Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

I was ecstatic when these two books came in the mail, mostly because they're both novels that have been getting a lot of great reviews from book bloggers who have similar tastes as me.  I'd like to thank the girls behind Books to the Sky, Jenny & Kaitlin, because I won their Black Friday giveaway contest and now have these two awesome books in my hands.

13 by Jason Robert Brown & Dan Elish

My boyfriend certainly knows the way to my heart (or one of them anyway). He loves ordering books for me and they arrive in the mail when I least expect them. The show 13, by the incredible Jason Robert Brown, is a common favorite between us so this book had me jumping up and down when I got it!

Matched by Ally Condie
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan
A cute bookmark
A lovely card
Hershey's Kisses

I also received another awesome surprise this week from my Broke & Bookish Secret Santa, Joli of Actin' Up with Books, who is now a new book blogging friend. Her card was really sweet, and I loved the Kisses and the cute bookmark. And I was so psyched when I saw she'd gotten me a copy of Matched & The Forest of Hands and Teeth.  Both books have been on my list for so long - and now I finally have them, thanks to her.  Thank you so much Joli! <3

Well, that's what I got in my mailbox this week.
Share your links in the post so I can check out your IMM!

  1. Oh! By Fire, By Water! I've had that book on my pile (God, that is like, my personal catchphrase) for AGES. You'll have to tell me what you think of it when you get a chance to read it.
Saving June and Catching Jordan were both soo good. Saving June has a road trip, which I LOVE and Catching Jordan has a tomboy and football. Yay! Enjoy them.
And Hooray for your Secret Santa! That's some great stuff!

  6. I'm in the middle of Matched right now and I'm really enjoying it. Though I still don't like it as much as Divergent either, haha.
