A (Late) Sunday Retrospective (10)

A Sunday Retrospective is inspired by In My Mailbox at The Story Siren and TGIF at GReads!, where I share the books that I've acquired during the week, last week's posts and interesting links.

Because of the lazy weekend I had, I missed out on posting this yesterday so, here it is, a day late! I haven't done a post like this in a while, mostly because I've been taking things easy with the blog. These posts should be back to normal starting this week though!

IN MY MAILBOX
Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson (gifted by Rachel)

Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill (gifted by Ashley)

The Cadet of Tildor by Alex Lidell (via DAC ARC Tours)

Uses for Boys by Erica Lorraine Scheidt (Thanks to St. Martin's Press!)

ON THE BLOG
  • For my very first post this year, I made a list of books that I WILL read. Most of them are classics and very lengthy, so do wish me luck!
  • Scarlet is a wonderful sophomore novel, and I think Marissa Meyer is a genius. (Review)
  • Beth Revis, Marie Lu, Megan Shepherd, Marissa Meyer & Victoria Schwab have gotten together to host this awesome contest called YA2U! Come and see why I think they should come to New York City.
  • Asunder had me feeling all the things and falling in love with Ana and Sam all over again.

AROUND THE COMMUNITY
  • Faye is so sweet - she's chosen me as her blogger spotlight for the month of January!
  • This post from Andrea is the most useful, helpful and awesome one when it comes to being organized about blogging. I LOVE IT.
  • I mentioned this on my own blog, but YA2U is a pretty great idea!
  • Jamie is my go-to girl for great discussion posts - and this one is definitely one of my favorites.
  • I love how the girls from Epic Reads pretty much described all the book nerds in the world!
  • If you're participating in the Debut Author Challenge for 2013 and you live in the US, definitely check out the Debut Author Challenge ARC Tours!

  1. Ahhh! I've actually read all of the books in your mailbox for once. I liked them all except for Uses For Boys, so yay you have great reading in store!

ALSO! I'll have to check out that post by Andrea because I am the WORST about organization.

Hope your laid back weekend was totally awesome. :-)

    1. YAY! I've actually read Tiger Lily, The Cadet of Tildor + Uses for Boys now, and Uses for Boys is the one I liked the least. I'm currently reading Meant to Be and it's great so far!

  3. Great books! Tiger Lily looks super good. I've heard mixed reviews of Uses For Boys, so I'm interested to see what you think of it. Enjoy your week!

  5. Oooh, I've also ordered Tiger Lily. Despite the fact that I've heard mixed things about it, I'm very excited to read it. Can't wait to hear what you think of it (and the other books on your list!)
