Top Ten Tuesday: Can I Reread You?

As always, this feature is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
1. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
I practically grew up on the Harry Potter books.

2. The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini
Honestly, I really do love dragons. And this is one of my favorite books about dragons ever. Plus, I'm definitely looking forward to the newest book Inheritance coming out in November!

3. The Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder
I used to get in trouble for reading these books everywhere at any time of day or night.

4. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
This series was the first set of dystopian novels I ever read and I absolutely loved it. It'd be a treat to reread it and savor it this time, instead of flipping furiously through the pages racing to the end!

5. Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery
I loved this series, if only because a part of me is so much like Anne.

6. Anything by Roald Dahl
I grew up on Roald Dahl books. One of my clearest memories is of hiding under a kitchen counter with a popsicle to read Matilda (which was my favorite by a mile).

7. Anything by Tamora Pierce
I've read all of her books except Tortall and Other Lands and Mastiff (due out this year). I would love to get the chance to reread them and experience them all over again.

8. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Such a beautiful book.

9. Anything by Rick Riordan
His books have managed to be endlessly fascinating to me, especially because I love mythology.

10. The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
Of all the Nicholas Sparks novels, this is the one that touched my soul the most. And I cried a lot while reading it. And I thought the story was beautiful. Yes, yes, I know, I'm a sap.

YOUR TURN: What are your top 10 books that you'd want to read again?

16 Comments:

  1. I grew up on Harry Potter, too. Are you a fan of AVPM, per chance?

I wasn't a huge fan of the Little House books. I liked them, but I never really got into them.

Nicholas Sparks isn't my favorite either, although that is my favorite book by him.

    Rick Riordan <3 (:

    1. AVPM! I know of it, but I actually haven't watched most of it. (Don't kill me!) I do like Darren Criss though..

  2. I totally used to get in trouble for reading Little House (and then Anne of Green Gables) all the time too. "Emily, put the book down. We're eating dinner." I do love them so very much. Both series will always have a place on my bookshelf! ...as will all the Tortall books. I bought Tortall and Other Lands, but I only read the Copper Isles story out of it because I adore Aly too much. It was pretty excellent.

    1. Oh my goodness! So accurate. My mom threatened to toss the books into the trash if I didn't stop reading during meals :p

  3. I need to continue Riordan's Lightening Thief series. I've only read the first book. His Egyptian series also sounds great.

  6. Aah! I loved the Last Song! Definitely want to read that one again sometime. So beautiful!! And actually I have yet to read the Anne of Green Gables books(though I've seen all the movies). Everyone's told me I would like them, I just haven't gotten around to it, Betsy~Tacy is kinda similar though... just starting from an earlier age. :) And Inheritance!! Oh my gosh cannot WAIT!! :D

  8. Great list. :) I really enjoyed The Last Song, I didn't even think about that one when I did my list though. But it's a awesome choice.

  9. Great list!

I'm waiting to re-read The Hungar Games trilogy because I want some of that 'shock' I felt the first time to be there. Since I only read them this year I figure it's too soon.

Thanks for stopping by In Libris Veritas!

  10. The Little Prince is so wonderful. What a joy to reread. I always find myself wanting to reread Roald Dahl as well. I had all the books when I was a kid, but I gave them away, so now I have to slowly collect them back.

Come visit my list at The Scarlet Letter.

  11. Looks like we'd like to re-read some of the same books. I thought about putting Eragon on the list but wasn't sure if I'd still be in to it.
