October 2020

I sound like a broken record at this point, but October flew by so fast. It likely has a lot to do with the fact that so much went down in the last thirty-one days, including: losing another grandparent (my grandfather's brother), celebrating my friend Jaymee's birthday, attending a virtual baby shower for my friends Rach & Mon, a day out with Rachel that included breakfast, a walk in the park, a bookstore visit and ice cream to cap off the day, being a guest on the Stories to Love podcast, practicing my cooking skills after we subscribed to HelloFresh, binge watching Black Clover until I got all caught up, playing Crash Bandicoot 4, watching James Bay's livestream concert from Shakespeare's Globe, doing an Instagram Live with DJ, a sleepover hangout with our friends Pat & Ian, and lots of chatting with family and friends.

It seems like the reading mojo that went missing for a few months this year has really returned in full force, as I managed to read 15 books total in the month of October. Surprising no one, majority of what I read this month was still fantasy! My favorite reads of the month include more Guild Hunter books (Archangel's Prophecy & Archangel's War, to be specific), The Bone Shard Daughter, These Violent Delights and my binge read of the Prosper Redding duology, The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding and The Last Life of Prince Alastor. (Gotta give a special shoutout to City of Ghosts & Tunnel of Bones, which were fun to listen to during the spooky season!)

Here are all the blog posts that went up in October:
