{Bookish} Style Files: The Name's Bond, Anna Bond

It's another month, and you know what that means - a new set of pretty dresses paired with pretty covers! This month, I'm actually going to feature all of the lovely illustrated covers done by Anna Bond. (Rachel actually did this for her BookBags post. You should check it out!) I'm seriously obsessed with how beautiful these covers are, and I'm loving how A Little Princess and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland look on my shelves.

Heidi tells the story of an orphan child who lives happily with her grandfather up in the Alps, until she is stolen away by her aunt to live in Germany at the house of a rich family with a crippled daughter named Clara.

Alice tumbles into a fantastical world filled with the most magical things, and she goes on some story-worthy adventures the feature some very odd animal folk.

An orphan girl is sent to Green Gables to live, and while she's initially not what they were hoping for, she's exactly what's needed to bring about a change in their lives.

Well-to-do Sara Crewe is attending a boarding school as her father is away at war, but her circumstances dramatically change when her father dies and leaves her penniless and she is forced to become a maid at the school.

Four sisters - Meg, Beth, Jo & Amy - live with their mother in New England while their father is away serving in the Civil War, and the girls struggle to keep the household running smoothly in spite of a lack of funds; they also go through a lot of personal growth.

Which of these dresses or covers is your favorite?
Have you read any of these books? Do you want to?
