February 2017 (+ February Flights of Fantasy Linky)

February was a whirlwind of a month! There was just so much happening, and since it's already a short month to begin with, the busyness made the days fly by even faster. The one thing that I'm particularly thrilled about? We've been having a sprinkling of warmer days recently, and that means spring should be in the air soon. I cannot wait, because this cold weather is driving me up a wall...

WHAT I DID
I kicked off the month by attending the launch party for Corey Ann Haydu's latest novel The Careful Undressing of Love (and it was fabulous). I got to hang out with Rachel a couple of times, both for Table for Two and to attend the launch party for Brittany Cavallaro's latest The Last of August, with special guest author Evelyn Skye. There was a snow day in the middle of the month, where my sister Mel and I fell into the This is Us fandom (and never wanted to leave). The Love-a-Thon happened this month, and it was busy and fun and overwhelming in all the good ways! And just last weekend, I went on a trip with some of my friends up to Vermont, where I snowboarded for the first time ever (and really enjoyed it). All in all, a very fun month indeed!

WHAT I READ
I read a total of 10 books in the month of February, as well as 1 graphic novel and 1 manga. I alas failed to complete my monthly requirements for some of my challenges, but hope to make up for it next month! Here are my favorite reads from February:

WHAT I POSTED

I've managed to read a decent amount of fantasy this month - 6 books in total, including The Architect of Song, The Wish Granter, The Bone Witch, Gilded Cage, Daughter of the Pirate King and Hunted. I also read the second volume of Fruits Basket, which brings my total to 7. What have you read this month? Don't forget to link up to your reviews and fantasy-inspired posts below! (P.S. If you still wanted to sign up, feel free to check out the introduction post.)

Also, in case you might have noticed, things have gotten quiet on here and on the channel. I've decided to take a little break from blogging at the moment for many reasons. Real life has been keeping me busy, and it will only get busier as people come in the next two months to stay with us for visits. Writing is also something I'm easing myself back into, and the words are flowing faster at the moment so I'm going with it. Plus, I've been feeling a touch burnt out, so I decided stepping back would be the smart thing to do. There will still be a couple of posts here and there, but otherwise, I'll report back at the end of March!
