Stacking the Shelves (14): An Endless Supply of Books

hosted by Tynga's Reviews
I really did intend to film a vlog, but life was asking to be lived and so you're getting photos of my recent haul. Now, bear in mind, it's been about a month since the last Stacking the Shelves post, which is why I've acquired a ton of books! I'm actually really excited to share this recent haul with you because there are so. many. titles. that I am freaking excited about.

Macky has finally arrived in the USA! He brought some of the books in our little library in our apartment in the Philippines. The top three in particular were brought at my request:

Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier
Legend by Marie Lu
Starstruck by Rachel Shukert

Of course, I couldn't help myself and bought some new books too! I got some of these at events I attended, two were pre-ordered and the rest were bought because I read the book for review and enjoyed it enough to buy it. Here are the hardcovers:

The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan (1 copy pre-ordered, the other sent by Disney - thanks!)
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
Exquisite Captive by Heather Demetrios
Rites of Passage by Joy N. Hensley
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas

I did not stop at hardcovers, but managed to grab a few paperbacks as well. There's an international edition here, a set of books in a series for something I'm planning with Hannah, as well as three classics that just had gorgeous covers:

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (UK edition)
The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner
The King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
A Conspiracy of Kings by Megan Whalen Turner
The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner
The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton
Complete Nothing by Kieran Scott
Silver Bay by Jojo Moyes

Let's not forget the Book Outlet haul, of course. I couldn't resist when Hannah pointed out a good deal on a book I loved but didn't yet own. And I just ended up getting a whole bunch of books for $35 (including shipping), and it was awesome:

Wildflower Hill by Kimberley Freeman
The Ashford Affair by Lauren Willig
Past Perfect by Leila Sales
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Across a Star-Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund
The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly

I also have the most generous friends (and #OTSPSecretSister) on the planet, as I received some of the most awesome books and things via mail:

One Plus One by Jojo Moyes (Thanks Ellice!)
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth (Thanks Hannah!)
Echoes of Us by Kat Zhang (Thanks Lena!)
The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons (Thanks Kelly!)
all the other goodies from my #OTSPSecretSister (Thank you!)

And then there are some random purchases over the past few weeks too. I went to a couple of events, and hit up a couple of bookstores, and Macky brought me a gift from a bookstore in San Diego!

The Queen's Fool by Philippa Gregory
Sabriel by Garth Nix
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery
The Prisoner of Cell 25 by Richard Paul Evans

Of course, as always, there were a few review books for me in the mail as well! I actually think I got a few more at my office this week, but because I've been off for two days I haven't gotten the packages in time for the post. Here are the ones I've gotten:

Skandal by Lindsay Smith
The Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick
The Tiger Queens by Stephanie Thornton
Zodiac by Romina Russell
We Are Pirates by Daniel Handler
Emergent by Rachel Cohn
Rooms by Lauren Oliver
The Imaginary by A.F. Harrold
Finding Mr. Brightside by Jay Clark
Positively Beautiful by Wendy Mills
I'll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios
Finding Serendipity by Angelica Banks
Beastkeeper by Cat Hellisen
The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver
The Boy Next Door by Katie Van Ark
The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski

Well, that's it for me this time around! I'm looking forward to reading a lot of these novels, and have really enjoyed the ones I've already read. Please let me know in the comments if you're excited about any of these, and what you've recently acquired too!
