Pumpkin Picking + Halloween 2013

Ever since I returned to New York, I've been completely immersed in autumn. It's such a beautiful time of the year! I love the beautiful colors that the leaves wreath themselves in, and the crisp, cool air, and the excuse to have all my favorite seasonal drinks. Here's a post about two fall-themed events that occurred over the last few weeks since I've been back!

I went pumpkin picking with my sister Melissa and my cousin Clarissa at Demarest Farm in New Jersey. I've not been to pumpkin patch since I was a little kid, so it was a real treat! After some hot soup, delicious doughnuts and some great apple cider, we rode a tractor to the patch where we picked out a pumpkin for Clarissa to take home. It was super fun, and definitely a great activity for the fall!

One of the best things about being in the US is Halloween. In the Philippines, we don't get as much of an opportunity to dress up for this holiday so I take full advantage of it when I'm here. Thank goodness for my NYC family, who are awesome and game for this holiday! We went to a party (which wasn't very awesome because it was a weird DJ), but before that, we held an impromptu photo shoot at the apartment. Check out our Halloween costumes!

So, there's a wolf, a cat, a zombie in a suit, a dark princess/witch, a ringmaster and a cowgirl! It's an interesting variety of costumes, isn't it? I do love that the colors all coordinated well with each other. Funny how things work out that way!

Belated Happy Halloween friends! I hope you had fun this year, whether you ended up dressing up or not. If you dressed up, what was your costume? And if you didn't, what would you have dressed up as? What fall-type activities have you been indulging in?

  2. Love your costume! :) And you guys look like you're having so much fun, even though the party was weird :D
In Holland we don't really celebrate Halloween, but we do have carnaval, which is basically 5 days of putting on costumes and partying while listening to really bad music :)
