Ed Sheeran at Madison Square Garden

Two personal posts one after the other? Well, this is my blog and I can do what I want to! Plus, there have been some pretty cool things happening in my life, and I just want to share them with you all.

One of the things my sister Melissa and I planned to do even before we left the Philippines was watch Ed Sheeran's concert in Madison Square Garden. We snagged tickets as soon as they went on sale, and were extra excited for the months beforehand! So on the 1st of November, we made our way to the Garden, tickets in hand and Ed Sheeran songs playing over and over in our heads to witness the master in action.

After queueing up to buy concert tees (I am obsessed with mine!), my sister and I found our way to our seats fairly quickly. Our anticipation made us really nervous, excitable and chattery. The opening act for this tour was Tori Kelly, who was pretty fantastic.

And then the show got started! Ed Sheeran is an incredible live performer. I loved his CD, but hearing all those tracks performed in person was a very unique experience. He's got so much talent, and it was really a one man show -- which is so cool! Ed Sheeran is officially in my top favorite artists now, and I would certainly take any chance I could to see him perform again.

Did I mention that, in honor of this - his first sold out Madison Square Garden show - Ed invited his friend TAYLOR SWIFT to come and perform? Mel and I could not contain all our excitement to know that we would see Ms. Swift on that stage! And it was phenomenal to see it happen.

It was such an incredible night! I feel so blessed to have begun my November in such a magical way, and to share that experience with one of my best friends in the entire universe.  It was such a good vibe for the rest of the month! Here's to hoping the rest of November will be just as epic as this night.

Have you watched any concerts or shows lately? If not, if you could watch anyone perform in concert, even if you've seen them before or not, who would it be?

  1. Oh so cool! And Taylor Swift! I love her! I wish I lived closed to NYC!! It's also making me excited to go back for BEA next year will you be there again? We'll have to hang out for real this time - I plan to attend more events this time, too, since we'll be staying in NYC itself and not in NJ which was a huge mistake lol >.<

  4. I love that Taylor showed up! I saw the two on her Red tour and just adore both so much. Did he perform Wake Me Up? That's one of my faves that he didn't perform for us :( though of course all of his songs are so great!

  6. EEE! SO JEALOUS! I would LOVE to see Ed Sheeran live! I've been to a couple of concerts from lesser known bands the last couple of months and I love the atmosphere and just live music :) Do you know Andy Burrows? Or Jonathan Jeremiah? There are AMAZING!

  7. AHHHHH!! It sounds like you had loads of fun! Ed Sheeran + Taylor Swift at MSG? They probably performed Everything has Changed, right? It must've been an incredible experience since they're both really good performers. I haven't been to any concerts lately though, other than a Passion Pit one.
