This Adventure Ends Blog Tour

I am of the firm belief that, though I’ve accomplished so much and seen so many things and made so many connections with so many people – there is still so much left to see and do in the world in my lifetime. It isn’t just about jetting off to exotic foreign locales that I’ve only read about in books or seen in films. It is about immersing myself completely in the act of exploration. The word “explore” has a couple of definitions, as listed below:

1) Travel in or through an unfamiliar country or area in order to learn about or familiarize oneself with it
2) Search for resources
3) Inquire into or discuss (a subject or issue) in detail

Because it covers not only actual physical travel, but also academic forays and cultural immersion, I thought “This Adventure Explores” would be the perfect piece to create on the little easel I received for being a part of this tour. To symbolize what I feel the word explore encompasses, I chose to divide my easel into two areas – map and words.

Do you consider yourself an explorer as you navigate through life?

Sloane isn't expecting to fall in with a group of friends when she moves from New York to Florida—especially not a group of friends so intense, so in love, so all-consuming. Yet that's exactly what happens.

Sloane becomes closest to Vera, a social-media star who lights up any room, and Gabe, Vera's twin brother and the most serious person Sloane's ever met. When a beloved painting by the twins' late mother goes missing, Sloane takes on the responsibility of tracking it down, a journey that takes her across state lines—and ever deeper into the twins' lives.

Filled with intense and important friendships, a wonderful warts-and-all family, shiveringly good romantic developments, and sharp, witty dialogue, this story is about finding the people you never knew you needed.
