After All This Time? Always.

Along with quite a few bloggers, I was invited to be a part of a blog tour for Marie Rutkoski's The Winner's Curse and The Winner's Crime. The question we were tasked to answer was deceptively simple at first glance, but quite challenging upon further consideration:

The ‘Winner’s Curse’ is an economics term that means you’ve gotten what you wanted – but at too high a price. What would you pay too much for?

Initially, I was going to say that I would pay entirely too much for a device that could transport me back and forth between New York and the Philippines in the blink of an eye. But then, I realized, I would never consider any price too high when it comes to spending time with my loved ones so... that was out! I started thinking about what I did spend money on, what I would spend it on, and I came to one glaringly obvious conclusion that I could not believe I hadn't seen before...

If there is one category of things I'd pay entirely too much for,
it would be anything related to Harry Potter.

Various editions of the books. Copies of the movies. Merchandise. Parks. Set visits and exhibitions. You name it, describe it with the words "Harry Potter", and I'm all in! My husband had the most difficult time restraining me when we visited the parks last year because I just wanted everything. Every. Darn. Thing.

In honor of my Harry Potter obsession, I've decided to share a wishlist featuring some Harry Potter things (among the many out there) that I would like to own (and most likely will one day, and pay too much entirely in the process):

And the only reason I need all this things is...

I don't know what my winner's curse would be.. Probably signed and personalized editions of books.I order them online and since I live in italy I have to pay for mindblowing shipping taxes and it's absolutely worthy it but the price is a bit too high!

I have to agree and aprove of your Harry Potter obsession because I have one too. One of my bucket list items is to visit the Harry Potter park in Florida, and I probably will have a hard time restraining myself! I would love to visit the set in England as well. I've been also meaning to buy newer editions of the book, because my collection sucks. The books don't match at all. But I got them when I was young and didn't care about that stuff. I actually have a time turner necklace. I got it an airport while stuck waiting for my flight. I saw it and had to have it. It wasn't expensive at all! Like $3.00 - $5.00 USD? Can't remember well. I hope you have the same luck.

  5. If I ever go to the parks in Florida, I will not eat the whole time to be able to afford a wand!

Oooo I so agree with anything Harry Potter! I still haven't been to the Harry Potter park in Florida but it's on my bucket list!

I used to own all of the Harry Potter books in hard cover...until one fateful day when I let my friend's sister borrow 4 out of the 7 to read - I never saw them again....to this day I have no idea how she lost 4 hard cover books!! As much as I love them I haven't yet replaced them myself...I learned my lesson though!

Yeah... I would totally spend a lot of money on Harry Potter if I could! There are definitely a lot of HP related items, trips, books I'd love to enjoy! Maybe one day!!!
