Teen Flights of Fancy

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the Teen Flights of Fantasy event at Books of Wonder with authors Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, Teri Terry & Jocelyn Davies. It was a true pleasure to hear them talk about their books, their writing and life as published authors. I was especially psyched to meet Jodi as I really love her Incarnate series!

The morning started off with brunch at Petite Abeille with Estelle, Jamie, Vi + Vi's BG1. We had waffles, mimosas and a fun time chatting about anything and everything!

We all trooped on over to Books of Wonder just in time for the signing, and it was a true pleasure to listen to the authors talk. I totally had a fangirl moment when I met Jodi Meadows (and there's photographic proof it happened!).

And I may have taken the opportunity to snag a photo with "Sam" and "Ana" because they were just TOO awesome.

Here's my book haul, which is a little dark (because I have no time to edit). I mentioned this in my A Sunday Retrospective post, but I thought I'd post a quick photo here too. It was a given that I was picking up a finished copy of Asunder, since I love that series to pieces. And after Jamie pimped this series to me and I tore through a copy of Unearthly this week, I bought hardcovers of this entire series and can't wait to read the next two!

At the signing, I got to the opportunity to finally meet Hannah in person and she's so, so sweet!

I also got to meet Britta and Julie, and to see Mitali, Nicole and Grace again today (though there are no pictures for proof). I also met the amazingly pretty Margot, who is just as awesome as she appears on Epic Reads during Tea Time!

So yes, today was a fun day. I got to see old friends, make new ones and totally fangirl and be awkward over Jodi Meadows! I love attending events like this, and I can't wait for the next one (which is the Marissa Meyer event I'll be attending in Brooklyn!)
