April 2014

Welcome to May, friends! I know it's a couple of days in (actually, a little over a week in, to be precise), but I'm only getting around to sharing my monthly recap for April because I've been a little under the weather. My allergies are killer this year, plus it looks like I might have a sinus infection. Thankfully, I'm on medication now and should be getting better within the next few weeks!

That being said, I'm still very happy! It's spring, so the weather is warmer and much more fun to be out and about it. One of my best friends (from when we were wee tots in diapers) is coming to New York next week, so we shall do lots of fun things together. And of course, May always means BEA is nearly here!

But since this is a recap, I just want to put it out there that April was pretty damn awesome. I had a lot of fun embracing the warmer (ish) weather, and going to various book events to see some awesome authors! I spent a ton on new releases (that April 15 release date may have hurt my wallet quite a bit!), and received some awesome opportunities (It really doesn't get any better than having the opportunity to read Heir of Fire early, since it is probably my most anticipated book for the latter half of 2014.) You can find recaps of what's been happening in the link list below!

Without further ado, here's this month's vlog featuring my top April reads, my TBR list for May and a lot of babbling with excitement from yours truly:

My Top Reads in April
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson
Torn Away by Jennifer Brown

What I'm Reading in May
Just One Year by Gayle Forman
What I Thought Was True by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
A Mad Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller
Taken by Erin Bowman (Yes, I'm aware this was from last year. I'm silly and just babble away.)
