ACOTAR Series Reread: A Court of Mist and Fury Wrap-Up (+Giveaway)

If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you'll know that I'm a Sarah J. Maas fan! After chatting with two of my fellow SJM fangirls - Cristina from Girl in the Pages and Kristin from Super Space Chick - we realized we all really wanted to reread the series prior to the next installment coming out TODAY! (Happy release day to Sarah, and ALL THE EXCITEMENT FOR ACOWAR! Can you tell that I'm dying to dive into it already?) We hope that if you ended up joining us, whether officially or unofficially, that you had as much fun as we did.

As with our reread of the first book, the time spent rereading A Court of Mist and Fury seriously just went by so fast. It was really cool to revisit this story again, particularly because so many important emotional threads run through this one. I was surprised by the bits that stood out to me this time around, even though, of course, I was wholly in love with my Night Court squad like I was the very first time. It's going to be so fun to jump right into the third book after reading this one, and having the way it ends fresh in my mind!

Like last time, each of the hosts came up with a specific question for the wrap-up, and so, I'll be sharing all the questions and my answers to them below. Please feel free to write a wrap-up post of your own, or to simply share your thoughts in the comments section or on social media. I would simply ask that you try to be as spoiler-free as possible, and if you can't avoid that, then make sure to warn people who might check out your post.

Alexa's Question
Of all seven courts, which do you think you would be most suited to live in?

I decided to approach this question from an objective perspective versus a subjective one (in a sense) (and mostly because, if I didn't, I would totally have said that I would live in the Night Court, because I'm totally biased and unashamed to admit it). I think I would ideally be a perfect citizen for the Summer Court (which we got a brief glimpse of in this book). It sounds like a place I would love to live in, and I've got no doubt in my mind that my personality is well-suited to that kind of weather and the type of people who live in that court. It might have something to do with me being a summer baby...

Cristina's Question
Which secondary character's story in ACOTAR and/or ACOMAF are you most compelled by? Who do you think the companion series will focus on?

Hands down, I just want more of Lucien in my life. He has always been my favorite in the ACOTAR series, and I just need more of his story and more of him in my life. (Though he's always in my heart...) And, additionally, and I know it's totally cheating but I just love every single person in the Inner Circle - Cassian, Azriel, Mor and Amren - and just need more of their individual stories? Even if it is, I'm going to go ahead and say that would totally be my answer. If Sarah decided to do a spin-off series of novellas about these guys, I would totally snap that up in a heartbeat. (Hi Sarah, I hope you see this and I hope it happens, kthxbye.) As for who the companion series would focus on, I kind of want it to focus on either Cassian or Azriel. But I'd also be pretty darn pleased if Lucien became a main character!

Kristin's Question
Do you have any ACOWAR theories? What are you dying to see more of in the final book?

One of my pet theories (and a wish in my heart) is to find out if there is some sort of connection between this series and the Throne of Glass series. I feel like there's a possibility that this will exist and in a way I would never expect! I also want to see more of Lucien (not surprising!) and all the other courts that Feyre and the gang have yet to visit. Plus, general badassery from the Night Court squad would be much appreciated. And more kissing. Always more kissing.

And now for the giveaway! This time around, we're giving away 1 set of "Night Court" magnetic bookmarks from Nerdy Grl Designs, and we're so pleased that we can open up this giveaway internationally. All you've got to do is enter via the Rafflecopter form below! Good luck!
