October 2016 (+ Flights of Fantasy October Linky)

October 2016 is officially one of my favorite months that I've ever experienced in my life. And yes, I say that even though I had a terrible cold for nearly two weeks of it and even though the weather took a turn for the colder. I got to do so many fun things, and I honestly am grateful that I'm blessed with these opportunities and the ability to make them happen. It's been real good, y'all, and the rest of this year has a lot to live up to.

WHAT I DID
The month kicked off with a bang, as I attended three days of New York Comic Con along with Macky and Danica. Every single penny we spent was well worth it, whether it was on books, artwork, elven ears or photo ops for some of our Doctor Who favorites. I also got to attend a special screening of my friend Bianca's film Ditch Party! Shortly afterwards, I had the most magical trip to Orlando with Danica where we made the most of every day and enjoyed the heck out of all the parks. And the last two weeks have been a wee bit quieter, but I did get to see two shows (Tick, Tick... Boom! and Kelli O'Hara's concert) and I fell down the Naruto rabbit hole (and I never wanna leave).

WHAT I READ
It's been a weird reading month, even though I had a ton of downtime (thanks to the Jewish holidays). I actually went an entire week without reading anything (which is crazy to me)! Anyway, most of what I read was good, and there were also a couple of amazing things that snuck in there too. Here are my favorite reads from the month:

WHAT I POSTED

Can you believe it's almost time for this challenge to end? Don't panic though - there's still two months left to read even more fantasy novels! Plus, with the weather getting cooler up here in NYC, I'm feeling the urge to snuggle under a cozy blanket and lose myself in a fantastical world or two. I managed to read a total of four fantasy books this month: Furthermore, Heartless, Timekeeper and Iron Cast. The best part? These were all really enjoyable reads. What was your favorite fantasy read this month?
